GT1 “Honu”

GT1 “Honu” Design features: Full nose with shallow concave, which flows into a bottom that is flatter than old school classics to provide more glide through flat wave sections and holds speed through your cutbacks. This is our most traditionally designed model…tuned up, but not to extreme. Recommended Fin Set-Up: Single 10” Moray or Classic Fin by Guy Takayama. Lengths Available: 9’0”, 9’2”, 9’4”, 9’6”, 9’8”, 10’0” Who For: For all experience levels. Conditions Best Suited/ Locations/best breaks: Works great in waves 1’- 4’ where you’re looking for those long, rolling nose rides…..e.g. Malibu, Queens, Rincon, California Street, San Onofre, Cardiff Reef, North San Diego County, Pleasure Point. Anywhere a traditional design will work, this will work better. Wave Height Range – Optimal: 1’ – 4’, Can handle up to head high surf easily. Performance characteristics: Great nose riding characteristics with exceptional glide through the flat sections of the wave. Smooth “down-the-line” trimming and stability. Easy Paddler and wave entry – great for smaller days. Catch lots of waves and glide past your friends on their slower boards! Special Mentions: Faster concave and better turning than “Old School Classics”. Translation: All of the looks of the true classic with subtle performance enhancements that really make this board fun and functional.
